mySugr Bundle: What does "unlimited test strips" mean?

mySugr Bundle: What does "unlimited test strips" mean? It means you’ll get as many test strips as you need, delivered right to your door. All you need to do is simply upload the Accu-Chek Guide meter to your mySugr app at least once a day! Then, in what feels like magic, your replenishment box will arrive just when you need it.

How does it work?


While the mySugr Bundle does include an unlimited amount of test strips, they are sent based on the uploads from the meter to the app. There are two things that we NEED for you to do in order to make the Bundle process work as it should:

1. Pair the Accu-Chek Guide or Accu-Chek Guide Me meter with your app

2. Import the values from your meter to the app on a daily basis (2-3 times daily if you test more than 10 times per day)


Our system relies on the number of “Verified by Accu-Chek Guide” and "“Verified by Accu-Chek Guide Me” entries you have in the app. This little tag lets us know that you’ve used a test strip, and to subtract 1 from the last amount that was shipped to you.

So, for instance, let’s just say you just had a new replenishment of 200 strips delivered. 

Once the package is delivered, our system will see that you now have 200 strips on-hand.

Now, let’s say you’ve tested 5 times today. 

If you don’t upload the values from the meter to the app, or if you manually log them in, then the system will not subtract those 5 strips from the 200.

In the course of a week, you’ll have used 35 test strips, and where we would still show 200 strips, you would only have 165 left! Your 200 strips could only last a little over 5 weeks! And because there haven’t been any uploads, we’d never know! YIKES! 


Also, waiting until you're almost out to upload all at once causes problems too because we continually track how many strips you've used and the frequency that you're testing. This lets us know when to have the system trigger a shipment because it takes a while to prepare and ship to you. If you wait until you're almost out, you'll likely be completely out before more can arrive at your door.


But I don't want to upload! Just send them to me when I ask for them!

We certainly understand that technology can be frustrating at times, but don’t worry - we are here to help!

While we can trigger an emergency test strip shipment to you manually, it's not good to need to trigger shipments manually because it takes up to 2 weeks to process, mail, and arrive at your door.

Don't worry - we aren't watching your glucose numbers or anything like that. We just look for that special Verified mark so that we can track your test strip use appropriately.

Daily, automatic imports are always best! And, if you are having trouble importing, let us know sooner rather than later so that we can lessen the chance of a missed shipment. 


(Please note: Manual entries do not count toward your strips-used in our database, though, so let us know if you are having any trouble syncing your meter to your mySugr app. Otherwise, this could cause a delay in getting your next shipment out on-time and could cause you to run out. )

*There are very few cases where the strip usage can exceed the limitations of our algorithm to replenish test strips. Please be aware there is a rare but real potential that our system cannot replace your test strips in a timely manner due to extremely high testing frequency, and you may run out. If receiving shipments due to high usage becomes an issue, we may exercise our right as per our Terms and Conditions to limit the number of strips or cancel your Bundle subscription.
