Can I turn off or change the Monster sound when importing from my meter?

You can try disabling or changing the sounds in your phone's settings! It is located under the Therapy notification option specifically for the mySugr app. We have some instructions below! This is for Android phones only. 

 

Through your phone's settings: 

  • Open your phone's Settings
  • Select "Apps"
  • Then, select "mySugr"
  • When mySugr is open, select "Notifications"
  • Next choose "Notification Categories"
  • Here you should see the list of notification options - here they can be turned off entirely, but this is not what we want to do, next you want to click "Therapy"
  • On the detail screen of "Therapy" this can be set to "silent." Or you can set it to whatever notification sound in the list that you prefer by tapping on the "Sound" option and selecting from the list of options.

Alternatively, you can also do these steps after your next meter import: 

  • Long-press the notification that appears in your notifications bar after you import from your meter
  • Choose "Settings" from the list of options
  • Then, select "Notification Categories"
  • Here you should see the list of notification options - here they can be turned off entirely, but this is not what we want to do, next you want to click "Therapy"
  • On the detail screen of "Therapy" this can be set to "silent." Or you can set it to whatever notification sound in the list that you prefer by tapping on the "Sound" option and selecting from the list of options. 

 

This should stop (or change) the sound for you! If the monster sound still persists after walking through these steps please reach out to us in mySugr support!
