Common meter pairing errors and solutions

Are you having trouble pairing your meter and you get to the step where you can put your PIN code in, and the button goes grey or the box to input your PIN flashes by too fast? Try these common solutions and let us know if this helps!

 

Pairing error causes Solution
Starting with the meter turned ON
  • Be sure to have the meter OFF before starting the pairing process; it must be put into pairing mode in a specific way, which means it can’t be turned on by using the power button in this process.
Using the wrong buttons when putting meter in pairing mode
  • Accu-Chek Instant, Accu-Chek Instant Forward, and Reli-On Platinum meters have two buttons: make sure to LONG (3-5 seconds) press lower button

  • Accu-Chek Guide Me: press both arrow buttons on the front of the meter at the same time for 3-5 seconds

Not clearing old bluetooth connection
Batteries are low
  • Older or weaker batteries can weaken the Bluetooth signal from the meter to the phone, even before it shows a low on the meter. Please replace the batteries and try again.
    • (It is recommended to use Panasonic brand for best results)
